This is a very tiny laser tape measurer and is pretty easy to use. It's lightweight (I'll come back to this in a bit) and easily portable. I appreciate the carrying case and keyring-like quick disconnecting lanyard. The charging port is sealed with a rubber stopper to help keep it water resistant. It charges up very quickly (which I'll touch on as well). Accuracy is good, at least as far as I could confirm with my other tools.
Okay, going back to the lightweight aspect, it feels too lightweight, as if there's hardly anything inside. That makes it feel cheap, as it doesn't have a robust feel to it. I stuck something to the front and when I tried to pull it off, the faceplate started to separate from the body. Not impressive. The other bad thing about being lightweight is I know that batteries weight a lot, especially as they increase in capacity. So the battery must be pretty tiny, which is reflected in how quickly it seems to use up power. It's not enough to get through a full day of constant use. On the plus side, with such a tiny battery, it charges up very quickly.
I did have some issues with my unit. One time, after just charging it and using it once or twice, it froze in the "on" state, with the screen lit up and the laser on. It wasn't taking readings and would not turn off. I had to let it run itself dead, which took a few hours and surprised me as it usually seems like it dies with way less use when I'm only occasionally activating the laser and taking measurements. Once it died and then I charged it up again, it was back to working normally and I haven't had that problem since (knock on wood).
The ad materials show it getting dropped in water, so I tested that out, dropping it about 6" into a 1" deep puddle a few times and it's kept working just fine, so it seems to be decently water sealed. Outdoors, the laser is too weak to work in direct sunlight, but function for short distances in indirect sun and shade. The screen is hard to read in the direct sun, so I'd say it's not the best for major outdoor use.
Overall, I don't think it's a great value. While it's nice looking and has some decent features, it's a bit expensive for a basic laser tape and I'm concerned it wouldn't hold up to heavy duty use. I do get a fair amount of use out of mine in a non-construction setting, so wear and tear is minimal and it should hold up fine to drops, but don't expect it to be a contractor grade tool.
